Adventures of the Chronically Ill & Socially Awkward
Miss Us?
We missed you, and there is a lot for us to catch up on...
Yes, we tried another platform. Actually, we tried a few platforms. Despite their promises, they were not disability friendly. Then life happened. Our kitchen exploded, we ended up essentially homeless, we finally found a place to live and discovered we had a lot more healing to do than we realized. Our oldest kid had twins, our youngest passed away, and Adventures got put on hold.
Then covid happened, we both got covid, we survived covid, and Adventures stayed on hold.
We had surgeries, watched far too many friends and family die, and still kept Adventures on hold.
We have volunteered, researched, worked on healing (ourselves and others) and realized we could spend the rest of our life on hold...
So, I found a new platform.
Please, if you like the premise of hearing about the foils and fables of navigating the world with plenty of quirky spins, do the Google thing that will get you notifications on blog updates. Want videos? Send something from the Amazon Wishlist that should be linked in the "About" section. Leave a comment, and let us know where you would like us to travel to next. If it's a place we can feasibly adventure in, we'll start a GoFundMe to raise the travel funds.
Who knows, we might even start a YouTube, IG or TikTok if asked!

We may move slower than a lot of other creators, and that's both the Chronically Ill and the Socially Awkward. That's okay, we compensate for (low) quantity with really high quality. We recognize that some folks are Earl Grey drinkers, some are green tea drinkers, and others are full on herbal. One Tee prefers their coffee black, I (the other T) prefer a dirty chai.
We have found coffee shops to meet with people from Rochester, NY and Key West, to Las Cruces, NM and Maple Falls, WA... and always open to hear about more! So, share your favorite coffee shops, tell us about your best accessible camping spots, and if you help us raise the funds we will feature an interview (only with your full consent, of course!)
So that's all for now! Just a quick update to let you know things are in the works. Currently planning on a bi-monthly update, have a few coffee trips to write about and news to catch folx up on.Follow along for stories about doggos, navigating the increasingly overwhelmed medical system, cross-country drives, videos and pictures of nature, using aquariums to "to touch nature daily" (Cory McElroy, owner Aquarium Co-op), and things to do when a flare keeps us in bed. Also, read my review of life after a post-covid stroke, recipes that actually do make me feel better, and the joys of physical therapy.
As long as Facebook cooperates, these blogs will be linked to Facebook. If it doesn't, I guess everyone will have to find us here... or at your local coffee shop!.jpg)
